These documents are necessary for the broker license: 

  • Identity card
  • Completed application form
  • Criminal record certificate
  • Information from the local court regarding possible entries from the debt register
  • A tax clearance certificate from the tax office

According to paragraph 34c of the trade regulations. The costs for the permit and the training/seminars amount to around  300 to  2,000. 

Commercial training and studies

However, you also have the option of starting a commercial apprenticeship. This has the advantage that you can build a special trust with potential customers through the expertise gained. For this purpose, training as a real estate agent or a degree, for example, in real estate management, is recommended. Such an apprenticeship or such a degree in real estate management takes about two to three years. At the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it is also possible to complete a course.
